Hub on Wheels and The Mayor's Cup

I usually don't get hired to photograph events but last weekend I photographed the TD Bank Mayor's Cup Race and the Hub on Wheels Charity Ride. I was hired by the City of Boston's Bike Czar Nicole Freedman. I photographed Nicole and Mayor Menino a while back for a magazine article and she thought of me when she needed a photographer. This event is designed to make the city more aware of cyclists. Since I ride the same streets as part of my commute to the studio I am more than happy to help promote riding bikes in Boston.
Thanks Nicole for the gig and thanks to my wife Maritza for helping me out this weekend.

Oh Yeah, and the Runner's World TOC Shot

I also had an image of Leslie Nordin on the Table of Contents in the October Runner's World. It was right next to friend and former Transworld Snowboarding photo editor Embry Rucker's credit for another well done cover of Runner's World. Embry gave me one of my first assignments when he was at TWS. Thanks man, and thanks for the continued inspiration.

In Print: Leslie + Sawyer Nordin

I finally got a chance to post the images of Leslie and Sawyer Nordin that are running in the October issue of Runner's World Magazine. Cool story and cool to see in print.

A Little Hockey Action

I shot a little hockey last week for the Boston Globe Magazine with the Harvard Crimson hockey team. We did a few portraits, some on ice action, and even a still for this project. The story should run in the beginning of October and I'll post a few more photos then.
Thanks to Grant at the Globe for the assignment and Jon K. for getting up super early to help me out.

My Brother Shoots a Sports(kind of) Commercial.

The Lingerie Football League commercial was filmed by my brother Eric. Only he could find a project like this. Genius man, genius. That's some funny stuff.
Check it out on YouTube here.
