Friday: Shots I did with film

This was the first portrait I had printed in a magazine. It's of snowboarder Dar Short. We shot this along with a bunch of other film stuff. I used a canon flash on the Holga for this with Fuji 800 print film. That day we also did some b+w infared 35mm stuff and some color and b+w 645 portraits as well.

I thought of this shot earlier this week. I created this in late 2001 or early 2002 with film in a plastic Holga camera. I used a softbox and a white seamless set up in our kitchen. My friend and roomate at the time had this rad cowboy hat that he go in Texas while on a shoot and doing some mechanical bull riding. We shot this just for the hell of it, just to shoot. Enjoy!

Another iPhone/Digi Holga

Here's another contact of the Hipstamatic iPhone Holga stuff. It's so much fun, I'm shooting with this thing everywhere!


Last night we were waiting patiently at the Dr.'s office and Zoe was playing games on my phone and she took these two images of me. I think they are super cool and also get excited when she shoots photos on her own, with out prompting and with an eye for composition! Keep up the great work Zoe!

iPhone/Digi Holga

I recently got an app that in my opinion is the closest thing to the results I can get with my holga. I used to carry the holga everywhere as I now do my phone and I'm psyched to be able to get the results I'm getting with the Hipstamatic iPhone app.

Holga Shot

This slide is gone now, I'm stoked to have captured it when I did. The Holga is a fun camera that you can just click the button. All composition no thinking about exposure. This is one of my favorite shots from the Holga.
