Yesterday I turned Zoe loose with my Canon 5d Mark II camera and told her to shoot whatever she wanted, as much as she wanted to. When she was done we geeked out on the computer a bit and she chose one to print. It's this b+w still life above.

It looks awesome in color so I'm showing that too.

In Print: Harvard Hockey

The Harvard Hockey story ran in today's Globe Magazine. I have a still life cover and three spreads on the inside, with a couple of cool portraits that I'm proud of.

This thing is so rad. An iPod it's not, but it's still rad.
This "Cutting Edge" still life project has been a lot of fun. It's the hunt for the stuff, the excitement when I find something cool. Mom always says "one man's junk is another person's treasure". So true. Now I'm coming up with ways to tie this project in with people. I'm open to ideas. If anybody has them leave a comment.

Deep Thoughts

Sometimes I wonder about the story that goes along with things like this bottle. Someone had to buy it, probably drank the contents, then what? How did it end up on the ground? How many people walked by it? How long did it rest until I picked it up? Did it know it was going to be photographed in this dirty mangled state and look cool and unique?

"Cutting Edge" Series

I've been working on a series of 80's ish tech objects and they have been coming out really cool. Wait til you see some of the others! They'll bring back some memories, I promise.

Cancer Center

I did some shots with doctors yesterday and around the office to promote a new cancer treatment center at the Addison Gilbert Hospitol in Gloucester, MA. Thanks Jon K. for helping out and Jeff Tautenhan for being happy with the work.

Please Recycle

Yesterday after I bought my sandwich from the corner store I asked for a plastic bag. As I walked back to the studio I picked up every clear plastic bottle from the side of the street next to the curb. I did this all the way back. I picked up 36 bottles. Then I photographed them individually and in this group shot. Damn people please recycle!
