Monday: Marketing Update

Here's a little slide show of my printed portfolio. I have made a list of Art Buyers and Photo Editors to cold call and set up meetings to go show the book. I'll be starting that process today!
So psyched, moving forward! Progress rules!

The quality of video isn't too cool, please call to see the real deal.

Monday: Marketing Update

Here's a shot of my new biz cards before they were cut.

An iPhone shot of print trimmings.

The prints for the portfolio are now trimmed and are ready to be scored, folded, and hole punched. I have a few more prints I want to make including a good cover sheet that flows with my new branding/identity. The book should be ready soon and I'll post some quality images of it instead of these noisy iPhone shots.
My new business cards arrived today from EM Letterpress. That completes the printing for all of my new identity system. I have the biz cards, which are super slick and I'm really stoked on. I have some really nice envelopes. Some mailing labels to send stuff off in style. And some nice vinyl stickers to stick on dvd cases and everything else. It's a totally new complete branding for Josh Campbell Photography designed by my friend Eduardo Nemeth. I'll also post some nice images of everything after I shoot them. I feel it's really important to have all of these pieces as a photographer (or in any business). It shows that I am committed professional and gives clients an idea of what to expect as for as the level and the quality of my photography.

Monday: Marketing Update

Here are a few iPhone quickshots of the prints for my book.

PORTFOLIO:
Yesterday I spent most of the day printing the pages of my new portfolio. I have more prints to make. Then comes the trimming, scoring, and hole punching required to assemble the book. It was cool to print yesterday. It seems a lot of the time with digital I only print when a print is needed. Most images are sent over the internet to clients, burned to a disc, or moved to another hard drive. The photos really came alive to me yesterday when I saw them printed really well and at a descent size. I'm still flying high from it!

SOCIAL NETWORKING:
I joined Facebook finally. I had been holding out thinking it was a time waster. Now I am of the thought that connections and relationships are very important however we have them. It's pretty amazing how within twenty four hours I became connected to over 100 people. My name was seen by over 100 people. My web hits went way up, so people were looking at my work. Yeah I'm sure some were friends and family but I'm also sure that some were folks that hire or know people that hire photographers. It's win win. So if you are here and we are cool guy friends on the Facebook please look me up and send a request.
